Inside The Dragon’s Lair: TwitterMania Brother!
Hello everyone. Welcome once again to another riveting episode of Inside The Dragon’s Lair with your host: Dakota “The Dragon Monster” Thompson. Today I am going to review the hoopla on the social networking website known as Twitter that has the internet wrestling community reeling. Is it real? Is it fake? Who truly knows whether or not this phenomenon is real. The matter I am speaking in of course is the fake Hulk Hogan Twitter account.
Now first and foremost, I think it is hilarious that if this is a fake account, that Eric Bischoff, Dixie Carter, and BTLS were fooled into believing its legitimacy. Now the man behind the messages has not and will not reveal his name though we know he is indeed a TNA wrestler. I can completely understand the reasoning behind this man’s anger and frustration if it is real, and if it is good for him for stepping up and addressing the injustices that plague TNA.
I would like to address the fact that this seems to be a work but at the same time I can see it being real as the backstage morale at TNA has been low for quite some time. Maybe someone had finally had enough and voice their issues and concerns utilizing the biggest name in wrestling to make a point. Now I would like to post a couple of messages from the account and you guys can provide me your opinion on what you think.
"I know you've heard the rumors brothers and they are true. Eric and I are leaving TNA on a mutual basis. I just got out of meetings now. It was really fun but time to move on. TNA has new leadership coming in. Make sure you Hulkamaniacs still support them. TNA needs the power of Hulkamania to live on brothers."
"@EBischoff GOT WORKED BROTHERS! He publishes information before even verifying its accuracy. How can someone like this even try to run TNA?" "That piece of shit @BTLSRadio GOT WORKED TOO!"
"@TNADixie Yes it's bogus, but @EBischoff himself is bogus. I work for you Dixie and respect you so much, but you've fallen off the wagon. @TNADixie You need to wake up and realize who your true TNA troops are. I don't see Hogan or @EBischoff breaking a sweat. @TNADixie I've bled for TNA, I've sacrificed for TNA, and I've put my family on the line for TNA... for what? To be pushed aside? It's BS @TNADixie And you know it deep down. If things don't change, a couple of us are quitting. @TNADixie I speak for a whole crop of men and women in the back. We're not happy."
Wow! That is all I have to say, I mean if this is a work by TNA it can be viewed as an extreme reach for help as we all know they are desperately trying to keep our attention to their product. However, starting a war on Twitter is not the way to do it. On the other hand if this is in fact legitimate, then we can rest assured that the individual responsible can be considered a hero for finally speaking up and making it public that what Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter say are in fact mere fabrications.
Dixie Carter also chimed in via Twitter to say that Hogan and Bischoff are not leaving TNA and that the rumour is just absolutely bogus. Basically, I believe that we are in for one hell of a show in the coming days and weeks. It is interesting to note that they also say Russo has no business booking the company, something we have all known for a long long time.
If the morale is so low in the TNA locker room that a wrestler had to jump on the internet and cause such a stir, then I believe we may be seeing the beginning of the end of TNA as we know it. Whether it be a complete shutdown or going back to their roots, we are sure in for one hell of a ride on the Total Nonstop Train. Here are the last few messages from the Twitter account of the hoaxing Hogan.
"Sorry guys, not revealing myself because at the end of the day, I need to put food on my family's table and getting fired won't help that. But if I can use this big work as venue to provide TRUE honest opinions of the TNA biz today, then great, because we have no other way. AJ spoke out for us a little while ago and got ridiculed. Had it been anyone else, they would either be suspended or fired. So I took it upon myself to use the "biggest name" to get our voices heard. It may seem like a pussy move, but try being in our positions. We got no choice but to use the Internet to our advantage here. And it's our hope that sites like PWInsider.com will publish our message. Because @TNADixie reads PWInsider.com, but it's not like she listens to them very much. And we love Tommy Dreamer, but how does he come first before us? How do all these ECW guys, who had their chance in 1995, come before us? No disrespect to the ECW guys either. Just saying. @TNADixie got worked herself when she believed in @EBischoff and Hogan by firing Christopher Daniels and bringing in Venis Jordan,NastyBoys. And all the rest of the Hogan contingent. Where is Daniels now? Where is Samoa Joe? Where is Amazing Red? Where is Kendrick? Where is Scotty Steiner, who could still WORK for his age. We loved Scotty. We don't need Hall or Waltman who use TNA in reminisce old times. f***in use Desmond Wolfe, use Homicide, use Hernandez, use Awesome Kong, us the people that brought you to the dance @TNADixie. And use me the way I've been suggesting. You always assure me that things will go in the right direction, but then forget about it. Then there's @EBischoff who runs his mouth saying he talks to talent when he's never spoken to me about the product once. And I'm sorry, I love Vince Russo, but his time as a writer was long gone after he left the WWF. Demote him to ring crew staff, honestly. Russo will have more fun watching us stretch and practice in the ring before the shows instead of writing our work. That's it for now. Send the message to @TNADixie. Out to the beach now."
"One last message from my iPhone so it's all clear... I am not Hulk Hogan, but I am a TNA wrestler who got Eric, BTLS, Jarrett, and Dixie to think I was Hogan. I rallied everyone in to get my true message out in anonymous fashion, b/c any other way on any media platform there would be consequences. Peace.”
So it appears evident that it is in fact a TNA employee. I would also like to state for the record that there are two little clues that may or not play a factor in this person’s identity. Apparently he lives by the beach, and has an iPhone. But since the TNA wrestlers and personnel for the most part live in Tampa or Orlando, that could be anyone, and iPhones are so popular it is difficult to say who it is. The only real way to find out who this individual is, is to track down the IP Number of the iPhone and see who it is registered to. Also, BTLS has a few messages in regards to this whole mess.
Hey bubba army this is hogans new twitter @realHulk_Hogan please follow him. Show him the power of the BA. Bubba about 19 hours ago via Echofon With Hogan in a meeting. Bubba about 3 hours ago via Echofon @realHulk_Hogan hey hootie these guys just met there match with my guys. Bubba. @realHulk_Hogan please everybody listen to @EBischoff this guy is not hulk. Well it looks like this man even pulled the wool over Bubba The Love Sponge’s eyes, which to me is not that difficult to do. But it seems that if this a work, then we are in for one hell of a storyline, but in my humble opinion, I do not believe that this is a work. This to me seems real and if I am incorrect then I will admit fault, but it takes one ballsy individual to stand up for their rights and try and make a stand against the powers that be.
