Joanie Laurer Additional Arrest Info; Released $20,000 Bail, Possible Jailtime, Fine & Counseling

Here is additional information I researched on the recent arrest of Joanie Laurer (formally known as Chyna / WWE). Laurer was arrested on Jan 1, 2005 at 1:40PM and charged with a Section 243 E which is "Domestic Battery Without Traumatic Injury" a Misdemeanor. Police were called by Sean Waltman (formally XPac / WWE), after he was 'beaten' by Laurer.
She was arraigned by LAPD and detained at the Valley Jail. She was released the evening of 1/3/2005 after posting $20,000 bail.
If found guilty of Battery on Sean 'XPac' Waltman, she could face up to a year in prison and/or a $2000 fine.
If she receives probation, Laurer will have to complete a 'Batterer's Treatment Program', and possibly pay a fine which the proceeds would go to a Shelter for Battered People.
More than likely, Joanie Laurer will only receive probation if this goes thru the court system. Battery is a tough charge because even if Waltman wants the charges dropped, the DA could pursue them anyway.
A future court date for Laurer has not been issued yet. However when we receive updated information on this case, we will post it on the website.
With the recent release of her XXX Sex video (that left many 'scarred for life'), appearing on the VH1 show 'The Surreal Life' (Complete With Nipple Slips), and just today getting naked for Howard Stern (CLICK HERE FOR THAT STORY), she has had a busy 2005. Unfortunately it seems for all the wrong reasons.
