WWE CFO RESIGNS; ECW DVD NOW 3RD BEST; MORE ON HECTOR GARZA ARREST & PIC; TNA PRESS RELEASE; IVORY ACCEPTING BOOKINGS & MORE

Thanks to the Mexican Newspaper El Norte, they have furnished more details behind the arrest of Hector Garza.

The drug possession Garza was arrested on was Primobolan and Deca-Durabolin which are anabolic steroids. Some may remember Primobolan from Lex Luger's arrest back in 2003. Garza was stopped at the Houston Airport when the steroids were discovered. The brother of Hector Garza told the paper that a prescription for the drugs were being sent immediately from a physician from Mexico. The claim that the Presciptions was issued to regenerate injuries and fortify muscle tissue. Possessing the steroids in the US for bodybuilding purposes is a felony. However if he can provide the documents showing rehabilitation as the cause for the medication, the charges could be dropped. Will he be able to continue possessing the steroids in the US? That remains to be seen.

Even those his bail was only set at $1000 bond, The Observer reports that Garza was advised not to pay it and stay in jail. If he made bail, he could have been deported back to Mexico without getting the charge dismissed, and then not allowed back in the U.S. Hence his future with TNA (let alone any other dates in the US) would be pretty much done.

TNA Issued the following statement: "TNA Entertainment does not condone the use of any illegal substance by an independent contractor or employee of the company," said Brad Bernstein, public relations manager. "Hector (Segura) and his attorney are anxious to proceed with the case and prove Hector's innocence. We look forward to his return."

His scheduled match at the TNA PPV against Scott Hall is in jeopardy at this time. Hopefully, this can be cleared up and he can continue to work TNA.

Former WWE Womens Champion Ivory is now accepting Independent Bookings. For those who ask, she is still with WWE. However since her contract is structured as an "announcer" (similar to Jerry Lawler, Al Snow, etc), she can accept outside bookings.

Move over Ric Flair, WCW, WMXX! As we monitor "The Rise and Fall of ECW' DVD's pursuit as the greatest selling WWE DVD of all time, it is now 3rd in sales. Last week, the DVD sold another 10,000+ copies moving it past The Ric Flair Collection. It now only needs to sell about 20,000 - 25,000 more than Wrestlemania XX to become #1. We'll update you again in about a week.

TNA issued this press release today regarding the World Title Match for the upcoming PPV:

Nashville, TN (January 6, 2005) – Every competitor in professional wrestling wants one thing and one thing only, to be World Heavyweight Champion. The most coveted Championship in the history of professional wrestling is the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, held by Jeff Jarrett.

The chase to join such names as Lou Thesz, Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Sting & others as NWA World Heavyweight Champion has separated friendships and broken dreams many times over. On Sunday, January 16 at TNA Wrestling "Final Resolution" on pay-per-view three men (Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page and "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown) will face each other for a shot at Jarrett and a shot at greatness.

Kevin Nash has been a World Champion before but has never held the prestigious NWA Title. "All things being equal, I have always been the number one guy wherever I've been" said Nash "and that belt, well it would look pretty cool around the Silver Fox's waist."

"The Alpha Male" Monty Brown is considered the hottest newcomer in professional wrestling by many and is looking forward to January 16th. Brown faced Jeff Jarrett for the Championship a few weeks ago on Impact losing do to outside interference.

"Jeff Jarrett better take a long look at that belt and at himself because he knows and everyone else knows that he cannot defeat The Alpha Male one on one," said Monty Brown "I don't care how many former World Champions I have to go through, I am the most dominant male on this planet and I will show that at Final Resolution. 2005 is the year of The Alpha Male and Planet Jarrett is way past its prime."

Diamond Dallas Page is a three-time World Champion and has created a Bang! since his surprising return to professional wrestling. DDP and his Diamond Cutter are always a serious threat to anyone's title reign.

Three men all have one goal, beat each other to face the NWA World Heavyweight Champion later that night. All three have one mind set, becoming NWA World Heavyweight Champion. On Sunday January 16th at "Final Resolution" they will get their chance. All this action and more is available on pay-per-view Sunday, January 16th 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT for only $29.95 SRP. This is more wrestling for less money than anywhere else in the world!
