SYNOPSIS:
Once again Wrestling Soup is introduced by Anthony "Missionary"Thomas, and
his Co-Host Joey Numbas.
It is truly a historic show as the two men will introduce Don Tony and
Kevin Castle's "Undercover Informant",
Mr. Mystery in a pre-taped interview from earlier that day. Mr. Mystery is
the man or woman that has been
feeding Don Tony crucial information on the inner workings of TNA Wrestling
for over a year now.
Joey talks about his reasoning for missing Impact tonight, was that he was
at a Brazilian BBQ. It is
described as eat til you drop kind of event. Missionary talks briefly about
TNA Impact including Samoa Joe vs
Rob Van Dam. Also about Ric Flairs promo calling Jay Lethal "Boy".
Then the two hosts go into the wrestling news of the week. Some topics
included are, Ricky Steamboats health improvement,Scott Hall missing a
court appearance and also being hospitalized with double pneumonia.
Missionary brings up Shane MCMahon enjoying his retirement and how he's
doing nothing with his millions. The subject of Raven doing stand up comedy
got quite the rise out of Joey,as he bangs out his customary one-liners.
Kurt Angles possibilities for retiring as well was talked about. Carlitos
recent interview is a hot topic as both men frequently poke fun at Carlitos
inability to do business. It seems to be prevalent in many 2nd and 3rd
generation performers,as they are prima donnas. They close with the news
discussing Jeff Hardy going back to court this week facing drug charges.
Now the moment has arrived in the show that everyone has been waiting
for,is the interview with Mr. Mystery. Missionary informs us that he had to
use voice altering software to protect the identity of the special guest.
So it is a little hard to understand at first due to the voice changer
added. But it becomes more and more understandable the more you hear his
voice. The first subject the men ask is what goes into a creative meeting
in TNA. Mr. Mystery says at one point not too long ago that TNA wanted to
build the ENTIRE company around none other than.............Jay
Lethal??????? He brings up TNA's love-fest they have with AJ Styles. He
shoots on the legitimate structure of TNA Wrestling and who is really in
power and how that power is ranked within the company, including how Jeff
Jarrett has absolutely no stroke in his own company he founded. Mr Mystery
says that Don Tony has been spot on when describing TNA President Dixie
Carter. Says she cares more about what people think of her, instead of what
they think of her company. That is why she is on Facebook, and Twitter so
much. He describes Dixie as someone with "Plastic Morals" that suit her and
her only. Speaks of Abyss and his heel turn, calling it short-sided
booking, and not planning ahead. Joey asks about Hulk Hogans true feelings
for the company, and Missionary asks about Paul Heymans possibility of
coming in. He cannot see Heyman working well with Bischoff and even more so
Hogan. Mystery says that TNA trys to build a brand of there own off the
back of The WWE with the influx of talent. He talks about TNA's emergency
plan if Jeff Hardy has to go to prison and how they will make a storyline
out of it. Mentions that Christian is the only person to really make a
splash in TNA coming from WWE. The topic of all the veterans that are
currently on the roster and their attitude towards TNA. Some of the advice
he would give to a new talent is brought up next. Says WWE really has a
great thing in FCW because they get taught all aspects of the
business, including media lessons, while TNA has none. Missionary asks about
merchandise that they sell and surprisingly you'll hear who gets all that
money. Mr.Mystery talks so-called "journalists" including GOOFY Powell.
Mystery calls Jason Powell a prick, and "A child in a mans body"!! What
would Mr Mystery do if he could change TNA is discussed, including who he
would fire, and who are the 2 guys he would push. The question of The TNA
world title changing hands so frequently is next as M.M says "Its like
herpes,..everybody has had it,lost it and came back" The final question
revolves around Samoa Joe,and what has happened to his career.
Mr. Mystery goes off topic as he is saying farewell,as he wants to petition
to get The Miz to World Championship status. He plugs his
Twitter.com/mremystery and wishes everyone well. He also tells Anon from
the chat-room to never I.M him when hes in the room.
As they reach to the end of The Soup Missionary and Joey accept phone calls
from the listeners. first to call in was Alpha-Male. Alpha discusses the
similarities of TNA and WCW. Anon was next and talks TNA mismanagement.
Australian,A.J Maggot was next to talk about all the old-timers on the
roster of TNA. Missionary then plugs A.J's "The Indy Show" on
BlogTalkRadio. The final caller of the night was Jay Simola. He discussed
what it would take to get TNA out of Orlando, and move to northeast.
The show wraps up as Missionary and Joey take questions from the chat room.
As the show closes Joey can't help but to jump on the MMA fans giving his
perspective of UFC/Strikeforce being "Fake". The two gentlemen wish
everyone back next week to get your share of Wrestling Soup.
