'Big Vito speaks about the Nepal incident'

SYNOPSIS:

This week, Big Vito Lograsso stops by for some Wrestling Soup! 

Looking at some of his title history, he held the WCW Tag Team Championship w/Johnny the Bull, WCW Hardcore Champion, IWA Puerto Rico IC Champion, Deep South Wrestling Heavyweight Champion just to name a few. Add in the ECW faction "Da Baldies" with guys like Rod Price, Tony Devito, and Vic Grimes, Tag partner with Johnny The Bull and managed by Tony Marinara in WCW better known to the world as The Mamalukes, a cup of coffee in NWA-TNA as leader of the NYC with Trinity, Glen Gilberti and Johnny Swinger, Tag team partner in World Wrestling Entertainment with Nunzio under the name The Full Blooded Italians, and later on with a popular singles run as a big burley guy in a dress.

Big Vito discussed his life growing up on the streets of Brooklyn going through hard times. He played basketball, baseball and semi-pro football. Wrestling was not something he considered doing growing up. He never took college or education seriously. He got into wrestling to be around his fellow Italians. He found Johnny Rodz as a trainer, and Vito credits him as making him the man he is today.Vito discussed the publicized incident with The Mexicools when he beat some respect into them. Discussed the Legion of Doom's unwillingness to job to he and Nunzio.

Big Vito discussed the charity work he has done. Through his contacts with the WWE, Marty Lyons, Joe Nameth and other companies and charities, he was able to raise $10,300 towards the purchase of books for PS30’s Library in Staten Island at a charity event held on October 20th, 2007.Tickets for this event sold out within 25 minutes. The event itself was a huge success. Big Vito played basketball with the school’s teachers and the 5th graders. Vito said he prefers being able to give back to the community than being known as a wrestling personality. Big Vito spoke to 3rd Graders at Crestwood Elementary in Tampa, Florida about wrestling and the importance of staying in school Vito said he wishes there was someone like him in his life when he was a child in school..

Vito discussed why he is not in TNA or back in WWE yet. He said he is in contact with WWE, but hey want to build their young wrestlers who are currently in FCW and on NXT. TNA is simply too political at this time for him to join them. Vito discussed the likelihood of writing a book.He discussed putting on the dress. He discussed seeing the wrestlers on NXT. He feels that they are missing out because they missed out on the "territory experience." Vito discussed wrestling Bret Hart while he was Intercontinental Champion, as an enhancement talent. Vito talked about the possibility of an ECW reunion occuring in TNA. Vito feels that something like ECW cannot be duplicated. Vito discussed where The Mamalukes (he and Johnny The Bull) fit in in the history of great Italian tag teams. Vito also discussed the current crop (or lack thereof) of tag teams.

Vito discussed his recent tour of Nepal. This tour made Vito the first and only ECW, WCW, TNA and WWE Superstar to ever wrestle in that country. Vito discusses the now-infamous incident where a riot broke out during his match with Himalayan Tiger. Vito talked about the honor that it was when he won a series of battle royals for WWE in 2005 during a tour of Italy. A listener asked Vito his feelings when he began wearing the dress. Vito discussed if he is still in the process of writing a book. Vito talked about his release from WWE, his current status, future prospects and much more.
