7/13/09 EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
- Don Tony debuts 'The Chase Chronicles" featuring Travelocity and he has advice to any of his listeners to wish to do business with them…DON’T!!
- WWE re-signed Nick (Eugene) Dinsmore as a trainer/employee. After knowing his background, we are glad he is getting a second chance with the company.
- If you are a fan of Elijah Burke, send him a message and wish him well after suffering an injury.
- RAW is GREEN!! Kevin says this was awful and was not happy about this at all. RAW is getting so bad that TNA is picking up the pace. The only thing that was worth watching during these two hours was Gail Kim in a bikini.
- It’s funny to hear how Alicia Fox is receiving no fan reaction whatsoever.
- Kevin Castle does not like that WWE is “Hollywood-ing” up their programming.
- Next week’s GM…ZZ Top. For those that do not know, ZZ Top are big time pro wrestling fans.
- Kevin continues his case that Smackdown has the better roster than RAW.
- If the celebrities boost RAW’s ratings, we worry that RAW could add more celebrity GMs. What did Seth Green do unique?? Don Tony predicts in some way Snoop Dogg will make an appearance. Kevin is not liking the fact that RAW is being treated like a “variety show”.
- ECW is the best-kept secret of professional wrestling, bank on that.
- This weekend was the 25th anniversary of Vince McMahon and “Black Saturday”.
- We talk about the Sotomayor hearings. Kevin refuses to watch ugly women on TV. There will good and bad things about her, so he does not care. Also, Don Tony says that she looks like a Spanish Roseann Barr.
- Arturo Gatti, RIP.
- We talk about Victoria (Tara) this week. Though she lied to the WWE, we are glad she did that. Well, an e-mail figures why the name Tara? After going through the e-mail, Don Tony thinks it makes a lot of sense. However, she will always be Lisa Marie to us.
- Brock Lesnar (who make $3 Million for UFC 100) destroyed Frank Mir. Though we don’t talk about MMA a whole lot on this show, Lesnar get a lot of time on the show. We loved how Lesnar is the anti-hero legitimately. Kevin says he is an asshole that wins.
- Dana White may be mad now, but behind the scenes Lesnar is making him a huge amount of money. Who is #2 in the near future? It could be another former WWE star in Bobby Lashley. You think UFC fans worry about this too much? Whether you like him or not, the UFC fans are going to have to respect Lesnar.
- We wonder how much money UFC will make if they show Lesnar vs. Lashley.
- UFC…stop with the WWE bashing, just embrace it.
- Now that Lashley signed with TNA…what are his chances of fighting in a big league MMA organization?
- Kimbo Slice? What are his credentials? Did he go to college? Does he have an amateur wrestling background?
- Don Tony remembers the segment when Brock Lesnar pushed Zack Gowen down a flight of steps. Still his favorite Brock moment.
- Hornswoggle beat Chavo on RAW with a rollover last week? We wonder the future of Chavo this week.
- Edge’s surgery to fix his Achilles’ Tendon was a success last week. He is going to be out until 2010. We talk about his return as either a face or heel. Our prediction…wait and see.
- Kevin hopes the WWE elevates Christian soon.
- Don Tony has the solution to light a fire to his beloved New York Mets…Fire Jerry Manuel!!
- TNA has an uncoolness factor, starting with Tenay and West. Don Tony says they remind him of the commentary from the old NWO/WCW days.
- Is TNA a lot like The Fonz (Happy Days) jumping the shark?
- Mr. Kennedy was in Puerto Rico and is now calling himself MR. ANDERSON.
- Don Tony saw a video with Lex Luger, and it is a really a sad sight to see.
- Damien Demento goes off at a recent Rob Van Dam MSNBC interview about legalizing pot. He says what happened if kids saw this interview. Which begs to differ…what kids watch MSNBC?
- Don Tony asks Kevin if the U.S. should legalize marijuana?
- Who would be better as a role model…Jeff Hardy or Kurt Angle?
- Jerry Lawler is going to be running for mayor of Memphis, and Kevin thinks this is a joke. It is not a good thing to be 58 years old and still ogle 20 year old blondes. Speaking of Jerry, we talk briefly about his son Brian being sent to jail for 30 days.
- Aerosmith might be singing live at SummerSlam. Why this would be way better than Kid Rock.
- TNA is now having a contest (no joke) for women (MILFs and Soccer Moms) wanting to be the valet for Kevin Nash in a PPV. Nash is old and past his prime, but he must be a great business man milking more money from TNA.
- Kevin watched TNA Impact recently, and really was not pleased by it. From Foley and Jeff to Kurt Angle with a horseshoe hairstyle.
- Goldberg says “F” Vince McMahon in a TMZ interview. It might be worth watching.
- Don Tony reads a story about a wrestler who talk about TNA and WWE. This wrestler really builds up TNA and may want to be a part of it. Who was it? Find out in this episode, Brother!!
- Kevin talks about 22-year-olds who are offended by him bashing Hulk Hogan. Sorry, but when you were born he was already washed up.
- Laugh at all the websites who make a deal of Rey losing his mask at a house show in Japan. Remember, he lost in mask in a match in WCW.
- Kane, please change your look. It’s a shame that WWE won’t let him wear the mask again.
- We share our opinions on who will be Chris Jericho’s mystery partner at Night of Champions.
- An e-mailer asks why we are hard on Maryse. We share our reasonings. Kevin calls her Trish Stratus-light. Don Tony is just not impressed with Maryse’s wrestling skills and call her “not championship material”.
- Remember the mega push Beth Phoenix had in late 2008. What has happened to her in 2009?
- Taco Bell…the worst thing to eat right now. Did you know that Billy Mays was signed on to do some commercials before he passed away a few weeks ago?
- Kevin approves Quizno’s, and says that Subway just tastes like a school lunch.
- Plus our .02 on The Home Run Derby, HHH’s fan reaction, USA Network, DT and KC record chatroom, New Jack shooting on Maniac, Fresco, Lorena Bobbitt, Brock’s horseshoe comment, Sean O’Haire, Kimbo Slice, Church/Franceour trade, Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, Happy Days, Just for Men commercials, Hydroxycut Cleansing Systems, John Cena, CM Punk/Jeff Hardy storylines, Rudy Charles, Hulk Hogan Appreciation Day, Hulu, Kelly Kelly, Modern metal bands, 80s Slasher bands, $7.75!! , Customers who refuse to take handouts, WWE Breaking Point, World Series of Poker, dangerous encounters with gangs, and TNA house shows.
