7/6/09 EPISODE SYNOPSIS:

  • Don Tony Text Messaged KGB at 542542 and asked who has the best wrestling radio show, and the result is the show that you listen to each week.
  • DT asks if we want a more professional sounding show, e-mail Sirius Satellite Radio.
  • A major injury has occurred and it is official…Matt Hardy is out for 8-10 with an abdominal tear. Kevin explained why he is ecstatic that Matt Hardy won’t be on TV for a while.
  • DT says keep an eye out on Jeff Hardy’s contract situation. If Jeff does not sign a new deal, then Matt Hardy is in trouble as well.
  • On a more serious note, Edge got injured at a house show last weekend and is out until 2010. WWE is now planning that Khali did this and Don Tony does not like the idea.
  • Though a very serious injury by Edge, this is not going to be career ending, and we wish Edge a very speedy recovery.
  • We feel bad for Chavo and how he is treated at this moment, but he has run his course. Perhaps a move to TNA may do him well.
  • RIP to Waldo Von Erich, who passed away at age 6. Kevin gives us a couple minutes to dedicate his life. Our condolences go out to his family.
  • Virgil….DT remembers two things about this guy. First, he had a ill-fated autograph table and second, he asks fans to take pictures of him and then asks for money.
  • Jericho and Edge are supposed to take on Legacy at Night of Champions. Don Tony gives the WWE some advice on to go with this match.
  • DT wonders why pigeons crap purple? DT tells us a story about this and not even his co-host can answer the question.
  • Kevin talk about Michael Jackson’s upcoming memorial, and predicts a major riot in Los Angeles during the service. Sorry, but New York handles themselves better than residents from the City of Angels.
  • Kev Castle is not a fan of Beyonce.
  • Michael Jackson is definitely an icon in the music industry, but he is still far below Elvis Presley.
  • Roddy Piper was arrested for DUI last week. Though some of overreacting and no one got injured, but it could have been a heck of a lot worse.
  • JR’s BBQ Sauce offers Free Shipping…but you have to order at least twelve bottles of the sauce.
  • Showing love to Francine, as she had her Legends of the Arena show and donated over $6,000 to the American Cancer Society. Now when will Booker document that he too donated money to his foundation?
  • Kevin does not like this whole RAW GM for a week gimmick. Now usually Lillian Garcia gives us an idea on whether to cheer or boo someone, but we don’t think that did that when she introduced Ted DiBiase, Sr.
  • Taz’s no-compete clause ended, Rudy Charles quit the company, and Super Crazy will wrestle a house show in Texas. There, we summed up TNA News in 45 seconds.
  • After LaParkita’s death, DT gives advice: Don’t get a hooker in Mexico.
  • Jerry Lawler is running for mayor in Memphis, and Kevin thinks that he has no chance of winning the seat.
  • WWE Breaking Point…all matches end in a submission. Why we think this is going to be a bad idea.
  • A shoot interview that disappointed Mr. Castle was the Chris Kanyon shoot. It was so boring even Kanyon said so.
  • Torrie Wilson had an interview in the Baltimore Sun and said she was “mad at herself to be part of the Divas’ Battle Royal”. Also, she understood why Trish Stratus did not do this. WE all agree with Torrie Wilson 100% on this. That was an awful and shameful act by the WWE. Trish Stratus will always be known as the smartest woman in professional wrestling.
  • What is the deal with Zach Ryder’s Long Island “Guido” gimmick? Don Tony reminisces party lines years ago, handing out, and Vanilla-Ice theme times. Also, there are no such things as Guido-themed people in the Long Island area. Kevin and Don Tony have a good discussion on this during this episode.
  • Kevin Castle compared the Guido Scene to the Rock Scene, and why he prefers the Rock Scene any day.
  • DT talks about Halloween, Damien 666, and Super Crazy’s trip to Howard Beach on their way to an XPW show in 2003.
  • Kevin took a vote by way of e-mail and the fans have spoken. Smackdown is the far better show than Monday Night Raw.
  • Kevin also predicts that John Morrison will be the World Champ sooner than later.
  • Coming soon…Michelle McCool and John Morrison on TV’s “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?”.
  • TNA offers their fans a 7 year anniversary plaque?!?!?! Sorry, but you do this on a 10 or 25 year anniversary, not seven. That appears to be very amateur.
  • Kennedy was released not too long ago, but do we think the WWE will bring him back because of Edge’s injury?
  • TNA is rumored to land Umaga and Ken Kennedy after their no-compete clause expires. Where is TNA coming up with this money?
  • Gail Kim is very impressive, and Kevin states that RAW is going to be the best fit for Gail Kim.
  • A Triple Threat match for the Diva’s Title at Night of Champions? It would be a very good idea.
  • Jesse Neal, we have all the respect for your military background, but you must have ability and charisma to build up a character.
  • Our thoughts about Paul Heyman as a booker for TNA. Though he copied other ideas from other organizations while at ECW, he copied them very well. If he ever wanted to be a booker, he needs to have that “itch” once again. Hey seemed to find a way to make a no-name a star (i.e. Justin Credible).
  • Sheamus made his debut on ECW. Although he is talented, he is “snow” white. Out of all the new talents debuting on ECW recently, he is the best one.
  • Abraham Washington…who is he?
  • Piper worked for TNA, and how was it funny that Ric Flair did not know of this.
  • Don Tony apologizes to Kane. It was unreal that Kane got a ton of reaction from the fans in India.
  • New Jack shoots on the Masked Maniac. New Jack states that Maniac over hypes himself. Don Tony remembers the time he hung up on New Jack accidentally. He also remembers the time when he won an Ebay auction to help New Jack post bail.
  • With Edge injured, CM Punk might be the top heel for Smackdown. Sorry, but Don Tony comments on this and says that Punk is not at the level of Edge.
  • Plus our .02 on Kane, Khali’s performance, Vicodin, John Lennon, 1977 NYC Blackout, Financial State of California, classic hip-hop, JR’s Chipotle Ketchup, Tragedy in Jamaican Queens, Mark Henry, The meltdown of Chyna, A diabetic pet cookbook, Al Franken, Debbie Rowe, Paul Orndorff, Gail Kim, Maryse, Rosa Mendes, A possible DiBiase debut, Advice to enhance TNA’s coolness factor, Jesse Neal, History of MLW, commercial-free programming, Jenna Morasca, MVP/Swagger feud, Flair/Piper roundtable, RVD, Dixie Carter, Roger Federer, Applications to run a radio show, Hulk Hogan, and Wrestling with Shadows
