Wrestling-News.com New Weekly Feature: OWNED (This Week's Pick: The Game)

Last week we debuted our new weekly feature to the site, simply titled 'OWNED'! It's sort of what WWE does every week with Jim Ross' WWE Superstar Of The Week. What ECW has with Joey Styles' Most Extreme Player Of The Week. Our version will focus who was absolutely OWNED this week.
Last week's inaugural pick was Tommy Dreamer. Obviously he has been absolutely OWNED the last 2 weeks. For those that thought we were nuts accusing WWE for hiding the vote count from his poll, we ended right. Despite hyping the vote results to be released on 1/13, today is 1/17. And no results posted. That's because the overwhelming vote from fans was for Mr Beulah McGillicutty to pack it in.

Well, we couldn't give it to him two weeks in a row. And we were also seriously considering Hacksaw Jim Duggan. So this week's pick for OWNED is THE GAME.
No not The Game as in Triple H. But the Wanna Be Gangsta geek rapper THE GAME.
A few weeks back, he made some public comments saying that he wanted to fight Triple H over the name THE GAME so he could "f*** him up because I'm not into that whole play wrestling thing."
Originally I got nervous. Since WWE has been trying to cater to the Hip Hop Industry the last 2 years, I wondered if they would consider Game vs Game publicity. And that is something I don't want to see. As far as this rapper's threat though, we figured he was just pissed because WWE was trying to sue him over the name 'The Game'. Even though I don't think WWE has a case because Triple H's trademark of the name doesn't venture into the music industry.
Then yesterday, I read online another 'threat' The Game made towards a sports star. This time it was European Soccer great, David Beckham. And when asked about Beckham coming to the US, The Game (rapper geek) says: "I’d kick David Beckham’s ass on any given day. I’d just pick the ball up and kick the s*** out of the stadium, game over.”
And the more I search online, the more I find that this geek has thrown one liner threats to several people across the entertainment and sports industry. Talk about someone desperate for attention.
Fast forward to today. Earlier today right here in Manhattan, an Arrest Warrant was issued for 'The Game' due to missing a scheduled court appearance. He was scheduled to tour in Canada, however that is now cancelled. Today he was supposed to turn himself in to Police. And as we dug further, he's had many run-in's with the law and criminal activity.
We were hesitant about this week's choice. Hopefully we don't get any threats from this gangstar rappa (wink wink).
Regardless, it's hard to disagree that Triple G (The Geeky Gangsta Game) is an appropriate choice of OWNED!
Until next time.
