Wrestling-News.com New Weekly Feature: OWNED (This Week's Pick: Tommy Dreamer)

A new feature to Wrestling-News.com, every week we will pick one person who we feel was OWNED!

It's sort of what WWE does every week with Jim Ross' Superstar Of The Week. What ECW has with Joey Styles' Most Extreme Player Of The Week. Our version will focus who was absolutely OWNED this week.

Normally we will do them at the end of each week. However we couldn't resist to do our first installment early.

We choose Tommy Dreamer as this week's choice for OWNED.

We could bring up his ridiculous attempts to justify why ECW cannot have the same work ethic, style, and character of years past. But we focus solely on the last 7 days of Tommy Dreamer.

First, WWE has a Poll up asking fans if Tommy Dreamer should stop writing his weekly 'Diary Of Violence' column. Fearing the voting would be in favor of cancelling the column, the daily vote results are hidden.

Then this past Friday, Joey Styles was courteous enough to give his MEP Most Extreme Player to Tommy Dreamer. No Dreamer didn't bust his ass in the ring to gain the award. He won it because of a Promo. As Joey worded it....

" This week, Tommy made it clear that he does not have a death wish by continually coming for the 7'4" 420-pound monster The Great Khali. The gargantuan Khali started this war when he attacked Tommy Dreamer at December to Dismember and violently drove Dreamer downward onto the steel stage.
Tommy Dreamer made it clear this week that he does not fear The Great Khali or any other man, regardless of how much bigger that man may be. Even if it costs him his hardcore career, Tommy said he will "go the distance" with Khali. To me, Dreamer will always epitomize extreme, and is this week's MEP."

Sounds like Dreamer has finally realized his 'New Found Power' right?

Tonight on Raw, it was 'announced' that Khali's ECW contract has 'expired' and he is now a Raw Superstar. Poor Tommy Dreamer. His 'intense' promo was for naught. Can you say OWNED?!

Now WWE tweaked this tonight by announcing Dreamer will get 'one last chance' against Khali on ECW 1/9/07. However with WWE pushing Khali the way they will with John Cena, they're not going to let Dreamer get true revenge.

So for this week at least, Dreamer is our choice as OWNED!
